Fusion Hybrid

Ford Fusion Hybrid:  The numbers tell the story, with up to 47 miles per gallon in the city and on the highway.  Delivering tight and lively performance, Fusion Hybrid starts from a complete stop and can travel under light to normal acceleration up to 62 miles per hour on electric power alone with no fuel used.

The Fusion Hybrid maximizes performance. At lower speeds, it can travel in electric mode. When the gas engine does kick in, at higher speeds , passing or merging, the transition is seamless. The Fusion Hybrid also features visual aids to help you drive more efficiently. The standard equipped SmartGauge with EcoGuide dash-cluster uses dual liquid crystal display (LCD) screens on either side of the center-mounted speedometer. Watch the display grow leaves as your short-term driving efficiency increases. As your long-term driving becomes more efficient, vines and more leaves are displayed. It lets you track the powertrain's operation hybrid drive, electric drive, gas engine plus instant and average fuel economy.

The technology features in the 2013 Ford Fusion keep you connected with the world in your car. Available SYNC  with MyFord Touch allows you to keep your hands on the wheel with your eyes on the road while you play your favorite music, control the interior climate, make or receive phone calls, and receive turn-by-turn directions.  Available SYNC Services provides traffic alerts, 911 Assist, Vehicle Health Report and more.  There are also available features that do everything from warning you of vehicles in your blind spots to parallel parking your car with the help of ultrasonic sensors.

Using touch controls and voice commands, SYNC with MyFord Touch provides an easy-to-use way to access your vehicle's systems with your hands on the wheel and your eyes on the road.  Safety features like seven standard airbags, 4-wheel disc anti-lock brakes, and AdvanceTrac with Electronic Stability Control System will give you peace of mind.

Activate the available adaptive cruise control and it detects traffic slowing immediately ahead of you so your vehicle will also slow down, based on your preset distance. When its sensors detect traffic has cleared, your vehicle resumes the set speed. Forward collision warning with brake support will alert you if it senses a potential collision with the car in front of you.  A "heads-up" display, which simulates brake lights, flashes on the windshield.  If you don't react in time, the brakes will precharge and increase brake-assist sensitivity to provide full responsiveness when you brake.

The available BLIS (Blind Spot Information System) with cross-traffic alert helps make driving more convenient. Using radar in the rear quarter panels to identify if a vehicle is detected in your blind spot, you're alerted with an indicator light in the appropriate sideview mirror.  Cross-traffic alert uses radar to watch for traffic behind you when you're slowly backing out of a parking spot or your driveway.  If cross-traffic sensors detect a vehicle approaching from up to 15 yards away, it sends an audible warning, a visual display in the corresponding mirror and a signal in the message center.
